PDF from PowerPoint ppt embedded within SharePoint Web Page using Content Editor Web Part.

PowerPoint ppt [as PDF] within SharePoint Web Page using Content Editor Web Part.

Step 1: Open PowerPoint. Design a slide with hyperlinks, images and content.



Step 2: Save the PowerPoint presentation as "Single File Web Page". Now this will generate a file with extension Mht.


                                   

Step 3: Upload this Mht file into a Document Library within SharePoint.

Step 4: Again go back to the powerpoint and save the ppt as PDF and upload the PDF into SharePoint as well.



Step 5: Browse into the Document Library. Right Click on the uploaded PDF file. "Copy Shortcut" will give the web Url for this file.


 
Step 6: In a Web Part Page edit and Add a Content Editor Web Part. Add the following code to the Text Editor.

Step 6: To remove the identity that the code was generated from Content Editor Web Part, within the Web Part Setting, Under Appearance, For Chrome Type select "None". Click OK. Click Apply. Publish the Page.

Step 7: Scrolling within the web part will move from one slide to another.





Step 8 : Now you can see how the contents of the powerPoint are beautifully presented within the SharePoint Page.

Step 9 : Since we have saved both the mht and pdf in the Document Library within SharePoint, editing becomes easy.

Step 10 : Go to the Document library and Click on the MHT and Edit in PowerPoint.


Step 11 : Make changes to the MHT file and hit Save button. It will save back into SharePoint.



Step 12 : Also use the same file in PowerPoint and Save As PDF into the same SharePoint location. There will be a prompt if you want to replace the exisiting PDF. Say Yes.



Step 13 : Now close the PowerPoint. On refreshing the content editor web Part will  show the PDF with the latest changes.
